Only order if you know for sure that you are using this exact system. If you are, it’s sturdy and useful.This is an extension kit. I bought this to add to my existing fast track rail in my garage. It WILL NOT work unless you already have vertical rails attached to your Fast track system. They attach to existing vertical rails NOT the Main Fast track Horizontal rail.The picture is very misleading, it does not match the box contents. Also, doesn’t seem to attach to a rail system as shown. Maybe there’s a way, but I have a useless system with a rail now.I really liked this. It took time to install because you have to find the studs, measure, drill. Once it was up, it looked great. The only downside I found was one it’s pretty pricey and you only get one shelf and you’re not provided all the hardware so I had to improvise and use some of my own anchors and screws. I ended up returning it and buying the pieces individually at the store and it was cheaper. I also got more than one shelf.The item is not at all as the photo advertised. The photo shows a slot in the metal bar that can be hooked up on to the typical Rubbermaid fasttrack rail system. But the item does not have that slot. I installed a fasttrack rail and found out after I opened the box that the item does not have the slot. Now I have a wall with multiple wholes.I have designed my whole garage storage using the FastTrack systems. Since the pandemic we have decided we could use a few more shelves, but I am concerned about making the trip to the big box hardware stores near me. So I saw that Amazon had the "kit" that would suit my needs. My mistake was in believing the picture and not looking specifically at the text of the included items. The main FastTrack bar is not included in this kit as well as the second shelf, both of which are pictured. The picture got me!Not all Rubbermaid modular systems are compatible. That’s super counter intuitive. This will not assemble straight out of the box. After a few trips to the hardware store and generally questioning life choices, you’ll either have it assembled or shove the parts in a corner somewhere.Before you buy, hopefully you’ve studied all the intricacies of Rubbermaid system. Not a weekend warrior project.Item states 16 pick shelving unit. It is not. In fact they have the two shelving unit options flip. The more expensive unit as shown is the cheaper and the cheapest is the most expensive. FALSE ADVERTISING! Do not get tricked like I did.
